Male figures 1 by shinsengumi77 Male figures 1 by shinsengumi77
If you use any of my poses, it'd be nice to be credited. Thanks in advance! ;P

Decided to start with a small sketch dump focusing on the male figure. Sorry for lack of detail. ^^;

So yeah...I don't really measure anything very much. Usually I make the torso about 3.5 or 4 heads long/tall. I usually make the arms' length reach around mid thigh or a few inches above, though again, I don't really measure. (Maybe I should? lol ^^;)

Poses are random; just drew whatever came to mind. If anyone has a specific pose they have trouble with, feel free to comment or note me and I'll try and whip something up. If you're ok with a pose but have issues with different angles and perspectives I could try that too. Things like that are great practice, because I always struggle with perspective.

I'll do some other stuff like this soon too. Women, action poses, etc.

Is this helpful at all? ^^;

(also, do nude gesture drawings need mature tags? I kept things "vague" enough I think...) ;P

And now I know.
Thanks for telling me, I would have misnamed it as a Cheongsam, but I call them dress because they go under this category.

lol no biggie. :D  Technically 'Cheongsam' is correct, but since it's more often used to describe the female gown, I prefer to use 'Changshan' (specifies the male equivalent). :nod:

Ahhh, so THAT'S how it is. One never stops learning, eh?
Yes, of course! He wears it without trousers, that's why it get's the "dress-look"...

Oh, I see why you may have thought it looks more like a dress now...I only drew the changshan on a bare figure, but in reality trousers would be worn underneath.  I just left him bare to emphasize the body form and the changshan. ^^;

...sorry for that! :nuu:

Why are you sorry? He looks wonderful! (And men can show off their legs too, why do people think Lederhosen were invented?)
