Tankbuster by shinsengumi77 Tankbuster by shinsengumi77
This is an early mech from the world of my manga, "Dream".

Description:
Bipedal with semi-reverse joint legs.  Pilot boards from above entry point; cockpit is in the lower center of core.
Stands roughly 5.5 meters tall at full extension
Can deploy wheels or feet depending on situation
Optional main weapons: Heavy piles, explosive piles, 96mm arm mounted autocannon
Optional sub weapons: 33 mm Anti-personnel gatling, dual scatter-shot cannons, arm-mounted grenade launcher, ECM and chaff

Origin:
The tankbusters' mobility was second only to the high-speed aircraft of the time, but soon the early mechanized units and powered suits would become the weapons of choice as early blackout technology was devised and implemented in combat. In addition, air-to-ground weaponry and altitude limitations were set for combat aircraft by the global paramilitary deterrence force, OSCR, which controls the two remaining weapons satellites.

Once aircraft were essentially taken out of the military equation, battles were decided by the highly-mobile and heavily armored main battle tanks, and powered suits that dominated infantry.  Missile defense systems and blackout technology rendered long-range attacks on tanks ineffective unless using heavy artillery, but no force had any clear technical advantage, because weapon calibers were also limited by OSCR.  Any gains by one side were slight and short-lived.  Wars became stagnant, long lasting.

Countries across the globe utilized effective area denial weapons that limited the mobility of even the most maneuverable tanks.  The Federation of Saiterra was the first to develop large-size heavily armored powered suits that could counter both the tanks and the challenges posed by the ADW's.  Eventually, the sizes increased to that of small gunships, and thus the first generation of mecha became widespread.

Really?  I haven't seen many mechs with wheels. ^^;
(And it was in a game?!  Was it good?  If you remember it, let me know so I can check it out! :D)

It's an earlier design in my story, so I'm not sure if I'll do much more with it.  But maybe...

AC is my favorite series, but there aren't any AC's or MT's with wheels as far as I remember (played every game except formula front for PSP.)

Really want to know what game he meant though...:eager:

So is that gun attached to his left arm a 96mm arm mounted autocannon? It kinda looks like a Sniper Cannon a bit, since AC's Sniper Cannon's can actually bend like that in the games. XD

Yep that's the autocannon.  The thing just below the gun's housing is the mech's arm -the gun is actually quite small. :D

Really? Bcuz the gun actually kinda a bit looks almost the same size as the arm itself. However, doesn't this Mech have hands or not? Bcuz the hands kinda looks familiar like a sharks back or a torpedo with a spiky thorn on it. XD

Yes the gun and arm are comparable in size.

And no, this mech doesn't have hands.  It's an earlier, less-articulate unit in design.  The arms are just like stumps with hardpoints to equip a variety of weapons.
The left arm with the heavy pile bunker and grenade attachment is equipped with a simple club-tip.  It's a bullet-shaped tip with a spike on the side, for general melee purposes. :nod:

I think I know what ure getting at. So pretty much ure sayin, its a/n earlier model stage before the newer one's? Pretty much like a prototype model, basically before heading to the newer model stages I'm presuming? ^^;

It's not really a prototype, but kinda yeah.  This is just a 1st generation mech in my story's world.  The mechs that actually appear in combat during my story are actually generation 3 units. :nod:
Think of it like the first Mark V British tanks used in WWI...and now we have the modern M1 Abrams, the T-90, and the Leopard tanks.
